For over two decades, Signature Cuisine has been Zecchinon’s French partner in Rixheim, Alsace. A collaboration built on trust, quality and a shared vision: to design kitchens that go beyond function and become true living spaces.
We spoke with Eric Casanova, the company’s CEO, to trace the origins of this partnership and explore a recent project that clearly exemplifies what it means to create a truly bespoke kitchen.
Let’s start from the beginning. Can you tell us about your professional background and how the collaboration with Zecchinon began?
My career actually started in the fireplace industry, but in 1994 I discovered the world of kitchen design. After eight years working with a French brand, my wife — who is also my business partner — and I began looking to Italy for a proposal more aligned with our vision. We visited several manufacturers, and that journey led us to Zecchinon. It was love at first sight. The collections, the team, and most importantly our meeting with Giovanni Zecchinon immediately won us over. We sensed real passion and a genuine commitment to supporting partners.
What sets Zecchinon apart, in your experience?
What truly impressed us was the brand’s ability to combine a deeply authentic family spirit with a modern and responsive organisation. The product range is surprisingly broad, materials are of exceptional quality, and the service is consistently reliable and knowledgeable. It’s a company that truly listens to its partners and supports them at every stage of the process.
What trends do you see emerging in kitchen design in the coming years?
There’s a strong return to authentic materials: natural woods, framed doors, ceramics with a rich tactile presence. At the same time, we’re seeing growing attention to ergonomics and intelligent space management. Clients are looking for increasingly personalised, functional solutions that are consistent with the overall interior design of their home.
How can Zecchinon respond to these new demands?
By doing what it has always done best: listening, adapting and designing with intent. The dialogue with the company is ongoing, and every new proposal is born from a real exchange with market needs. 2026 will bring important developments — collections that combine aesthetics and innovation with the stylistic coherence today’s clients expect.
Project D.: a balance of wood and ceramic
Among the many spaces designed by Signature Cuisine, the project created for the D. family stands out as a clear example of how function, design and natural materials can come together in perfect harmony.
The clients’ brief was clear: to design a sociable kitchen integrated into the living area, with generous worktops, well-organised storage, and fully bespoke solutions. Appliances were to be kept discreet, and the arrière cuisine completely hidden from view.
The design dialogue led to a balanced composition: on her side, the warmth of pleated wood; on his, the tactile strength of ceramic. The T70 ceramic doors and MDI worktop by Inalco define the monolithic style of the island, while the Revego pocket system hides access to the utility kitchen. The induction hob, seamlessly integrated beneath the ceramic surface, reinforces the visual flow.
Signature Cuisine’s interior design vision extends far beyond the kitchen. The project includes custom furniture and accessories for the living room, and continues into the sleeping area, where glass wardrobes and tailored joinery express the same attention to detail. A truly holistic approach, where every room is shaped by a singular design vision.
This partnership with Signature Cuisine is living proof of the strength that comes from the fusion of design and relationship. A journey built on trust, where every idea becomes a space to be lived — with style, coherence and personality.
