In Voglans, France, Arbelì has cultivated a distinct approach to bespoke kitchens and interior architecture, where artisanal heritage meets a refined design sensibility. We spoke with founder M. Lacour about the studio’s journey and its partnership with Zecchinon.
At a glance
Could you briefly introduce your company and tell us about your partnership with Zecchinon?
Arbelì was born from a pathway deeply rooted in craftsmanship and made-to-measure design. We founded the company in 2008, specialising in high-end interior joinery and bespoke furnishings. In 2020, we opened a showroom dedicated to Italian design, driven by the ambition to offer a holistic vision of the project, where interior architecture and custom furniture exist in constant dialogue.
Our meeting with Zecchinon felt entirely natural. As artisans committed to tailor-made work, we were looking for a partner capable of combining industrial precision with the elegance of Italian design and a high degree of customisation, without ever compromising the artisanal quality that defines us. With Zecchinon, we found a rare balance between technical rigour, creative freedom and manufacturing excellence.
Which values do you share with the Zecchinon brand?
A deep commitment to quality, an acute attention to detail and contemporary design vision. Above all, we share the belief that the kitchen should be conceived as a true architectural project, shaped around the lifestyle of each client.
What are the most frequent requests you encounter during the design phase?
Our clients are primarily seeking kitchens that are fully bespoke and seamlessly integrated into the wider interior architecture. They expect refined aesthetics, ergonomic layouts and premium materials. More than anything, however, they want spaces that reflect their lifestyle and exist in harmony with the rest of the home.
Zecchinon’s collections respond perfectly to these expectations. The breadth of materials and compositional flexibility allow us to create kitchens that are both elegant and highly functional, each one genuinely tailored to its context and personality.
How do the variety of finishes and the modularity of Zecchinon kitchens influence your sales process?
They are fundamental levers in our design approach. They enable us to propose deeply personalised solutions adapted to each space and each client, while maintaining both aesthetic and technical coherence. This compositional freedom makes dialogue with the client more fluid and reinforces the perception of a truly bespoke project, supported by Zecchinon’s industrial precision.
What feedback do you most often receive after installation?
Clients express a strong sense of satisfaction. They immediately recognise the quality of the materials, the precision of the finishes and the understated elegance of the design. The kitchen is experienced as a living space in its own right—the vibrant heart of the home.
Is there a particular aspect of Zecchinon’s support that you find especially valuable?
We greatly appreciate the clarity of the tools provided, the coherence of the collections and the quality of both technical and commercial support. That reliability is a genuine asset during the design phase and strengthens the trust our clients place in us.
Is there a recent project that best represents your approach and Zecchinon’s philosophy?
We recently completed a project that combined natural materials with contemporary lines in a remarkably harmonious setting. The goal was to create a kitchen that felt elegant, discreet and perfectly integrated within the overall architecture of the home.
Its success was the result of several factors: attentive listening, precise design development, careful material selection and Zecchinon’s ability to deliver technical and aesthetic solutions that aligned seamlessly with the concept.
How do you see client expectations evolving in the future?
We are witnessing a clear shift towards increasingly personalised and sustainable kitchens, conceived as an integral part of the interior architecture. The kitchen is becoming a structural element, positioned at the crossroads of design, architecture and lifestyle.
What message would you share with someone considering Zecchinon for their kitchen?
Choosing Zecchinon means choosing a kitchen conceived as an architectural project. It means choosing design, quality and bespoke craftsmanship in the service of a contemporary art of living.
