Tailor-made serenity: a kitchen retreat in the heart of Cap Ferret

Living area of a holiday home in Cap Ferret with large windows, natural furnishings and a bespoke Zecchinon kitchen designed by Quartier Cuisine

Set between ocean and pine forest, Cap Ferret offers a rare kind of poetry—a sliver of land on France’s Atlantic coast, favoured for its elegant summer escapes and discreet architecture. Here, where time seems to slow among golden dunes and whispering pines, a small maison reveals a new approach to kitchen living: intimate, quiet, essential.

Designed by Quartier Cuisine, Zecchinon’s long-time French partner, the project is tailored for a holiday home conceived for year-round living—a delicate balance of artisanal care and understated comfort.

In this space, the boundary between inside and out dissolves. Natural light, tactile surfaces and a palette of soft neutrals merge into a muted atmosphere where the kitchen becomes a calm protagonist—more to be lived in than displayed.

The value of customisation in compact interiors

In any interior, understanding the space’s specific needs is what defines good design. When working with limited square footage, customisation becomes a vital tool—turning every centimetre into a design opportunity.

Here, every detail has been meticulously calibrated. Bespoke lacquered fronts, painted in the same soft Ponce Clair tone as the walls by Argile, create visual continuity and compositional clarity. Volumes unfold naturally, aided by full-height cabinetry that visually expands the room’s proportions.

Despite its compact size, the kitchen leaves nothing out: oven, induction hob, sink, small appliances—all find their place effortlessly. It’s a tangible example of how Zecchinon’s modularity translates practical needs into aesthetic solutions—without ever compromising quality.

Natural elegance: between Dekton and raw wood

Every surface in this kitchen speaks of harmony—between innovation and natural textures. The result is a measured, warm aesthetic, where architectural discipline meets organic beauty.

The Dekton Mooné worktop: elegance meets endurance

Defining the operational surface is a refined Dekton Mooné worktop. With its mineral finish and subtle iridescence, it reflects light with discretion, while its ultra-compact composition guarantees resistance to scratches, heat and stains. A choice that fuses contemporary design with professional-grade performance.

Finishes that connect with nature

The kitchen’s visual identity is built through soft contrasts: the warm white lacquered cabinetry pairs with the coarse grain of a solid wood table, linen-upholstered seating, and the airiness of woven wicker. The entire composition feels inspired by nature, perfectly attuned to seaside contexts and forested hideaways alike.
