The Zecchinon design language finds a new home in Alsace at Cenza Haguenau, the showroom led by Eric Schwartz in Schweighouse-sur-Moder, just a few kilometres from Strasbourg.
A new meeting point between Italian design and a design approach strongly focused on customisation, where materials, finishes and compositional possibilities become tools for creating kitchens shaped around the people who use them and the spaces they inhabit.
Already at the helm of L’Appartement W in Wissembourg, Eric Schwartz shares the vision behind the project, the value associated with Made in Italy and the elements that make Zecchinon’s offering particularly relevant to the French market.
At a glance
Zecchinon and Cenza: a partnership between Italian design and bespoke planning
In France, Cenza brings together a selection of Italian interior design brands and has chosen Zecchinon as its kitchen partner. A collaboration that brings to the Haguenau showroom an offering built on the balance between aesthetics, functionality and extensive design freedom.
For Eric Schwartz, these elements reflect a very specific approach to design: not simply offering a kitchen, but supporting each client in creating an interior that reflects their needs, tastes and way of living.
We spoke with him to explore this vision in greater depth.
What were you looking for in an Italian kitchen brand?
We were looking for an Italian brand capable of combining contemporary design, genuine manufacturing quality and, above all, extensive customisation.
We do not simply want to sell a kitchen: we want to support our clients in creating an interior that truly reflects who they are.
We also recognised a strong affinity in the way we work: care, creativity, attention to detail and a focus on bespoke solutions. It was this complementarity that convinced us.
How does the public respond to Zecchinon’s design and Made in Italy?
Made in Italy enjoys a very positive reputation, particularly in the world of interior design. But beyond aesthetics, our clients also value the quality and intelligence of the solutions offered.
Zecchinon kitchens combine Italian elegance, functionality and innovation. The lines are carefully considered, while the variety of materials and finishes opens up a wide range of design possibilities.
The kitchen thus becomes a true living space, integrated into the interior not only as a functional environment, but as an integral part of the home’s overall design.
What kind of experience did you want to create in the new showroom?
Above all, we wanted to create a place for inspiration and exchange.
The aim is not simply to line up different kitchens side by side. We want visitors to be able to imagine their own space, discover different atmospheres, touch the materials, observe the finishes and, above all, discuss their project with our team.
We therefore chose a clean, contemporary presentation that allows the compositions and their details to speak for themselves.
How important is customisation when designing a Zecchinon kitchen?
It is probably one of the aspects that sets us apart the most.
We do not believe there is one ideal kitchen that suits everyone.
Our role is to adapt the kitchen to the person and their space, not the other way around.
Zecchinon’s design possibilities allow us to work with dimensions, materials, colours, configurations and the many details that help make each project genuinely personal.
Our role is to advise and support the client, from the first idea through to completion.
If you had to choose one Zecchinon solution that particularly reflects the brand’s identity, which would it be?
I would choose Frame paired with Fenix NTM.
We are particularly drawn to compositions that combine restraint, elegance and character.
We like kitchens that do not try to follow trends too closely, but retain a contemporary aesthetic over time.
What are your goals for the coming years?
Our ambition is to become a regional reference point for high-end interior design and bespoke planning.
The opening of the Haguenau showroom is an important milestone, but above all we see it as the beginning of a new adventure.
We want to build lasting relationships with our clients and showcase the full potential of Italian design.
What advice would you give to someone starting to design their kitchen?
Above all, I would say not to assume you already have all the answers before meeting a professional.
A kitchen project often begins simply with an idea, a need or a desire.
My advice is to visit a showroom, explore the solutions, get closer to the materials and talk to someone who can turn that initial intuition into a concrete project.
A new space to tell the Zecchinon story in France
The Cenza Haguenau showroom thus becomes a new place to discover Zecchinon’s approach to contemporary kitchen design at first hand.
An approach in which customisation is not an optional extra, but the starting point of the project: from the configuration of the space to the choice of finishes and the combinations of materials, colours and surfaces.
Giving shape to kitchens that are distinct from one another, designed to adapt to the architecture and, above all, to the people who will live in them.
