In the heart of Chicago, takes shape a kitchen that blends Italian elegance with the functional sensibility of the American lifestyle. Curated by Zecchinon’s long-standing partner Archisesto, the project was born from a desire to create an open, fluid space where architecture and interior design exist in perfect balance.
Founded in 2006, Archisesto has spent nearly two decades promoting Italian design in the United States. Based in Chicago, this boutique studio has become a trusted point of reference for architects and interior designers in search of bespoke kitchen and bathroom solutions.

A refined composition with K105
“The client—an established real estate professional—wanted a kitchen that opened up to the outside. No handles, warm finishes, clean lines. A space that felt both welcoming and sophisticated,” explains Giacomo Ferrucci, founder of Archisesto.
The K105 collection by Zecchinon is expressed here through a two-tone palette of Quercia Dark and Fenix Verde Comodoro, creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. The design is anchored by a central island and a lateral composition that blend seamlessly into their architectural context. Handle-less doors reinforce the visual clarity, while a calibrated touch of blue subtly defines the office and bar area, adding personality and contrast.

The essence of the project: modularity, customisation, atmosphere
The apartment is located in a historic building, which meant working around unconventional measurements, structural constraints, and the need for meticulous planning. “The modularity of Zecchinon’s kitchens allowed us to work with millimetre precision, adapting everything to the existing structure—without compromising on aesthetics.”
But it’s not only about precision. It’s about atmosphere. Every detail in this kitchen contributes to a warm, contemporary feel: the tactile grain of the wood, the clarity of the lacquer, and the way natural light filters through the large windows to draw shifting patterns across the surfaces.
“We brought Zecchinon to the US because we knew it offered something truly different.”
This project also tells the story of a long-term collaboration. Archisesto was Zecchinon’s very first partner in the United States. “Zecchinon isn’t just a supplier. It’s a brand we’ve grown with—sharing a vision to bring high-quality Italian design to a discerning American market.”
The relationship between Zecchinon and Archisesto is built on trust, dialogue and shared vision. The values they hold in common? Quality, customisation, innovation—and above all, a genuine sense of family.
Looking ahead: Italian elegance, American soul
Kitchen design in the United States is evolving rapidly—and Ferrucci is fully aware of the shift: “I believe we’re seeing a growing convergence between functionality and refined aesthetics. A kitchen must be practical, yes, but it also needs to express elegance and quality.”
Zecchinon meets this need with noble materials, modular design, and a uniquely flexible approach to personalisation. It’s this ability to adapt that allows the brand to speak to diverse audiences, without ever losing its Italian identity.
Every kitchen tells a story—and this one speaks of synergy, beauty and authentic design.
The kitchen crafted by Archisesto is more than a furnishing solution—it’s a manifesto of style, a demonstration of how cultural vision and design expertise can come together to shape spaces that are both emotional and functional.
